i really like the mellow, r&b stuff that is also a hybrid of soul music. and i actually also like acoustics even though i think too much of the traditional guitar gets boring. like i couldn't listen to an entire jack johnson album but i definitely like jack johnson interspersed with john mayer. okay back to tamia - very old school r&b harking back to the good ol' days of babyface. i think i've been listening to this song for at least a hundred times and i've heard every version on youtube. i like the versions from djakeeno and this jenniferchung
2. James Morrison's You Give Me Something
i predict i'll get bored of this soon but the first time I heard this I loved it. It's that sort of song you get emo to after having a one night stand with someone hahahah.
3. One Republic's Stop and Stare
Can any song they ever make ever be as good as Apologize? i heard the original version of apologize without timbaland going wooooo (that is HONESTLY all that he does wtf) and it was so awesome.
4. Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel
shit i wish he made music like this again. WHYYY. shitttt i really love MJ! every song he made sounds pretty good. the only one i don't really like is the "annie are you okay are you okay... yaddah". what is that called? yea i am actually quite a closet MJ fan but that's cos i feel really sad everytime i listen to his music. and watch him dance ))):
5. Rachael Yamagata's Be Be My Love
the first time i heard her sing this was when i watched her concert. i'd heard of her before the showcase but i'd never heard her music but i fell in love with this song there and then. you know how some songs have such simple simple lyrics and yet they just hit all the right notes. (pun not intended)
